Frankincense & Pine (Balsam Fir)

**Frankincense is great for oily skin and acne because it’s a natural astringent, it helps regulate sebum and stops your face looking like a hot mess by removing excess oil. It will soothe and reduce inflammation and can also help prevent acne forming thanks to the boswellic acids it contains which are capable of killing bacteria associated with acne.**

Frankincense, quite literally, is a skincare ingredient of mythical proportions. The substance has been a ceremonial staple in Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and spiritual communities for centuries; it’s cited in the Bible as one of three “gifts of the magi” presented at the birth of Jesus; and Cleopatra is said to have incorporated it into her (very famous) beauty regimen. Today, frankincense is experiencing something of a rebirth in the skincare space - especially with men.

**Pine Essential oil is also touted as having anti-inflammatory effects. In theory, such effects could do two things: **Ease symptoms of inflammatory skin conditions, such as acne, eczema, and rosacea.
