Sometimes the most meaningful moments in a small business happen when you least expect them.
For us, one of those moments happened at the Cedarburg Strawberry Festival.
Among the hundreds of conversations, smiles, and people visiting our Naturalis booth that weekend, one mom’s story became something we will always remember.
Her name was Thalia.
She stopped by looking for something gentle for her baby’s extremely sensitive, eczema-prone skin. As she shared their journey with us, her words immediately touched my heart because I understood exactly how she felt.
Years ago, Naturalis began from a very similar place.
My own daughter struggled with sensitive skin, and as a mom, I remember searching for something gentle and comforting. That journey led my mother, Nury, to create our first handmade soap using ingredients inspired by our Chilean roots — especially rosehip oil, a botanical treasured in Chile for generations.
That first soap became the beginning of Naturalis.
At Strawberry Festival, Thalia decided to take home our Eczema Soap — a handmade bar created with nourishing oils, rosehip oil, calendula oil, and carefully selected botanicals for dry and sensitive skin.
A few days later, we received a message that stopped us in our tracks.
Thalia shared her baby’s experience with our soap, along with before and after photos of their journey. Her excitement and gratitude reminded us exactly why we do what we do.
Because Naturalis was never created just to make soap.
It was created from love.
From a grandmother’s care.
From a mother trying to help her daughter.
From a belief that simple ingredients and thoughtful formulations matter.
Seeing another family connect with something we created brought our story full circle.
